I have collected the newest and best that's out there, and made lessons that work. These innovative learning techniques are easy and fun. Enroll in the School, and Learn to Play the Piano. Become the classical pianist you've always wanted to be.
NEW STUDENTS: DO YOU WANT TO LEARN TO PLAY PIANO?
What I love about classical music is the beautiful sound, that and the coherent mathematical beauty that's is the core of music theory, that and of course the satisfaction , excitement and challenge of actually playing piano by sight-reading classical sheet music that was written by the likes of Beethoven and Mozart. I remember when I first started playing piano 3 years ago, not being able to play a single C Major Chord, I fondly dreamed of the day I could wow audiences during spontaneous live performances whenever I happened to come across a little Baby Grand Piano or electric keyboard. The BSP will guide all newcomers in an excellent, welcoming weekly lesson program and practice routine that will have you playing your favorite songs in a matter of weeks. First Grade instills new students with a basic understanding of music theory, and how to play piano by sight-reading. All the experts agree that music theory is the fundamental foundation in ALL more advanced types of music. Casual lessons also available. Whether you enroll in the School or take a few single lessons, you will be amazed and happy with your decision to learn to play piano. All prices are suggested and charged on a sliding scale. Pay what you can. However this is what I want to do for a living right now, so your generosity is greatly appreciated. Thank You so much.
THE ART OF SIGHT-READING CLASSICAL SHEET MUSIC IN COLOR
I love how eloquent and articulate classical sheet music “describes” the intricacies of sound of music. The beauty of the simplicity of the black and white music notes on the ten lines of the Grand Staff. All music can be completely translated into easy to sight-read sheet music (with lots of practice & understanding of music theory ;) composed solely of whole, half, quarter and sixteenth notes, and with some rests, accidentals, dynamics and articulation notation thrown in here and there. Piano sheet music also features key and times signatures, chords and arpeggios, finger numbers, slurs, ties, sharps, flats, crescendos, diminuendos, dotted notes and pedal marks. Not to mention with this written sheet music, we won't have any of the great sonatas of the Classical Era, this simple notations on paper immortalized the classical music icons like Ludwig van Beethoven and Wolfgang A Mozart..... See the Classical Music History and Inspirations Page.
ADDING YOUR OWN ARTISIC COLOR TOUCH TO HELP YOU LEARN
…..And all of that in good old fashioned black and white ink and paper. We don't what to try to change anything about the unadulterated classic form of sheet music. This “My Music in Color” Book in your hand is currently black and white. You add the touch of color. Use color accentuate and emphasize the music. Make your own personalized color code system. Something that makes sense to you. I like to color in the tails of some pieces lines blue and spaces red, for example. Or some pieces I like to color all C notes red, and all G# Green and B flats Orange. It is completely up to you. Just highlight segments, or the rhythms phrases or whatever makes you happy, and assists you in sight-reading faster and more effectively then ever before. Be sure to enter the school contest for best Colored Sheet Music.
All Sheet Music in this book, in addition to Music In Color concept, lesson plans and HW are all one hundred percent Original My Music In Color Piano School Arrangements, published under the Creative Commons copyright and composed by your first classical piano music teacher September – Dec 2012.. All other material shared from other musicians and website sources are fully credited and referenced.

Music Theory's BFF warmly and proudly introduces new musicians to meet the Circle of Fifths.
Why is is important to learn the Circle of Fifths? Because it is a great visualization that will help you understand theory and identify classical music key signature, find related keys & harmonies, remember the order of sharps & flats. The Circle of 5ths is one of the most valuable tools to help you ee the fundamental relationships that music theory is based on.
Moving clockwise, each fifth (five whole steps) starts a new Major or minor key signature.
Moving clockwise each fifth add a sharp or takes away a flat. Likewise moving counter clockwise adds a flat or removes a sharp. At the bottom of the circle are the three pairs of enharmonic keys of D flat & C#, G flat & f# and finally B & C flat. And to top it off all of the Major keys are on the outside with the minor keys on the inside. First grade only focuses on C Major and G Major, adding D &F Major in second grade. Just google “Circle of fifths” to see the endless variations of this music theory treasure.
Check out www.circle-of-fifths.net for tons more great insight into this classical music gem.
